As a Health Coach, I work as a wellness guide and supportive mentor. Together, we’ll work to set and achieve your goals in areas such as weight management, food cravings, stress, sleep and energy. Through working with me, you’ll develop a deeper understanding of the foods and lifestyle choices that work best for you and implement lasting changes that will improve your energy, balance, and health... forever.
Bio-Individuality The concept of bio-individuality is that each person has her or his own unique food and lifestyle needs. So, when it's said that “dairy is good for you” or “fat is unhealthy”, it doesn't apply to everyone. One person’s food is another person’s poison, and that’s one of the main reasons why diets fail in the end. The media, the publishing industry, and the conventional medical and pharmaceutical communities have us all confused and overwhelmed about what's good and what's bad for our health, with little or no focus on the individual and his or her lifestyle.
As your Health Coach, I will listen carefully and help you to navigate the world of contradictory nutrition advice. I have studied over 100 different dietary theories, ancient to modern, and together we will discover what approach will work best for you at this point in your life. Using cutting edge counseling techniques and working on the principle of bio-individuality, I’ll support you in making positive changes that are based on your unique needs, lifestyle, personal preferences, and background. Everything Is Food We are not only fed by food, but by other factors in our lives as well. Healthy relationships, a fulfilling career, regular physical activity, and a spiritual practice are essential forms of nourishment for all of us. When these “primary foods” are balanced, what you eat actually becomes secondary. I will support you in achieving all of your goals, from eating the right foods for your body to living an inspired, fulfilling life.
The Wellness Pyramid The Integrative Nutrition food pyramid (pictured above) focuses on nourishing food and lifestyle choices. It is my wellness guide of choice because it emphasizes the importance of high quality vegetables, fruits, complex carbohydrates, varied proteins, healthy fats and water. To complete the wellness picture, the pyramid is surrounded with lifestyle factors that powerfully influence heath: relationships, career, physical activity and spirituality.
